Muslim Pride is a grassroots initiative uplifting queer and trans Muslims through inclusive events, art, and community programming. Launched in 2020 virtually and co-produced by ScrapFest— (a platform amplifying underground, trans, and racialized voices)— it has grown into a global platform challenging Islamophobia and celebrating intersectional identities.
In June 2026, Muslim Pride will expand across Washington, DC, New York City, and Los Angeles, featuring over 30 queer and trans Muslim artists in historic LGBTQ+ cultural spaces.
This expansion reflects our commitment to visibility, accessibility, and honoring queer and trans Muslim history as an integral part of LGBTQ+ culture—not an exception to it.
