Muslim Pride is a grass roots initiative uplifting queer and trans Muslims through inclusive events, art, and community programming. Launched in 2020 virtually and co-produced by ScrapFest— (a platform amplifying underground, trans, and racialized voices)— it has grown into a global platform challenging Islamophobia and celebrating intersectional identities.
This June 2026, Muslim Pride will expand across Washington, DC & New York City featuring 20+ queer and trans Muslim artists in historic LGBTQ+ cultural spaces like Black Cat & the Stonewall Inn.
This expansion reflects our commitment to visibility, accessibility, and honoring queer and trans Muslim history as an integral part of LGBTQ+ culture—not an exception to it.
Muslim Pride is curated and produced by Urvah Khan.
