Muslim Pride is a grassroots initiative uplifting queer and trans Muslims through inclusive events, art, and community programming. Launched in 2020 virtually and co-produced by ScrapFest— (a platform amplifying underground, trans, and racialized voices)— it has grown into a global platform challenging Islamophobia and celebrating intersectional identities.
After powerful in-person events at Toronto’s Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in 2023 and 2024, Muslim Pride is expanding to the U.S. in June 2025 with a launch event at the historic Stonewall Inn, followed by a main celebration at the LGBT Center in Manhattan—honouring queer resistance while building a more inclusive future.
